Position Summary

The Financial Professional Accountant will support the mission, vision, and values established by the Board of Directors by assisting in daily and monthly accounting functions.



  • Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of industry practices, terminology and settlement processes, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work in an active and fast-paced department are all preferred
  • General ledger experience
  • The physical ability to use the telephone
  • Ability to:
    • Deal with eye strain from extended periods of time using the personal computer
    • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Perform proficiently in Excel and Word
  • Physical strain on the wrist from using the keyboard for extended periods


Reporting to this Position: None


Description of Duties:

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports, reconciliation and projects assigned
  • Prepare daily accounting activity and make necessary general ledger entries
  • Support year-end budgeting process
  • Reconciliation and verification of personal and property taxes
  • Daily deposits and cash receipts process
  • Supports both the Financial Team and Commodity Team as needed
  • Verifying invoices for mathematical accuracy and correct account coding
  • Completes daily activity reports
  • Take overflow incoming telephone calls
  • Submitting all special government and agency reports as required
  • Assist with preparing policies and procedures
  • Supports all specific tasks assigned by the Financial Controller
  • All other duties as assigned.
