Position Summary          

The Commodity Professional Accountant will support the mission, vision, and values established by the Board of Directors by assisting in daily and monthly commodity accounting functions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent years experience in a related field
  • Requires understanding of commodity accounting functions and positions.
  • Attention to detail, organization, excellent communication skills and computer skills.
  • Requires ability to work in fast-paced industry in a busy office with respect for a variety of co-workers.
  • Requires strong people skills, follows directions, meets deadlines, organizes and prioritizes effectively.
  • Knowledge of commodities industry practices.

 

 Reporting to this Position:         None

 

Description of Duties: 

  • Support the business processes of ethanol, corn, distillers, corn distillers oil, and hedging transactions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Supports daily and monthly commodity tasks and processes.
  • Responsible for daily input of commodity contracts.
  • Responsible for the daily reconciliation and invoicing of outbound shipments.
  • Responsible for completing daily commodity reporting.
  • Responsible for completing monthly tonnage reporting.
  • Assist in the monthly commodity closing process.
  • Supports other commodity and financial positions as needed.
  • Assist with preparing policies and procedures.
  • Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Commodity Controller.
  • All other duties as assigned.
