Position Summary

Assist with the receiving of incoming corn, corn dryer operation, loading of DDGS and Modified DDGS, moving rail cars and plant sanitation.

 This is a temporary, seasonal position. 

Duties include:

  • Follow plant operating procedures and safety rules
  • Work in a safe manner with minimal supervision
  • Sampling and grading incoming corn
  • Receiving and load out scale operation
  • Operating industrial mobile equipment such as forklift, skidsteer, front end loader, boom lift, railcar mover
  • Operation of grain handling equipment, sample probes, basic lab equipment
  • Clean up of receiving, load out and other areas of the plant as needed
  • Complete required receiving, loadout, operation and inspection paperwork
  • Management of multiple tasks
  • Equipment inspection
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Ability to work a varying work schedule
  • Ability to work overtime as required, some nights and weekends may be required
  • Ability to work on elevated surfaces
  • Basic computer skills
  • Work with minimal supervision

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for extended time frames, walk; sit; use hands and fingers, to handle, climb, work in heights, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear.  The employee must lift and/or move up to 50lbs.  The employee must be able to work in heights.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Some areas have been designated areas to use hearing protection.  Hard hat and safety glasses are required in designated areas.
